Movie Haiku:This sorrowful tale about a London abortionist circa 1950 is too politically correct for its own good. We really wanted to like it, but we found it preachy & hagiographic. Nevertheless Staunton’s performance is so precise that she almost makes you forget the saintly choir that accompanies her every appearance.
