Movie Haiku:Film’s known mostly for its troubled production (screenwriter Arthur Miller & Monroe were at the edge of divorce) & “last rites” (within a year Clift, Gable & Monroe all died), but deserves better. Seen now, it’s a haunting psychological drama about a beautiful woman & the soul-crushing men in her wake.
