Movie Haiku:Lightening refuses to strike twice in this Howard/Crowe boxing biopic that works way too hard at being “uplifting.” Crowe lacks intensity; Giamatti mugs; Zellweger’s completely wasted. Each one walks thru a part that’s by-the-numbers, culminating in the “real Baer/Braddock match” that goes on forever. Touching moments never come together.
