| | Movie Haiku: | Bale does well as the new Batman, with great support from his villains, plus Oldman (surprisingly sweet as “Commission” Gordon). Michael Caine & Morgan Freeman play their beloved personas, but Katie Holmes is completely extraneous “Play-Doh.” Parental backstory & Ninja training sequences are all engrossing. Predictably, finale’s overdone FX extravaganza. |
