Movie Haiku:Van Sant’s meditation on the death of rock idol Kurt Cobain, but only kinda sorta. What he captures is a man (Pitt) utterly alone, despite great wealth & innumerable devotees/dependents. For acquired tastes only: s*l*o*w pace redeemed by brilliantly evocative sound design getting you right inside this poor guy’s head.
