Key Performances:

  Jason Ritter
Movie Haiku:Altmanesque ensemble in contemporary LA. Roos doesn’t trust his story, constantly adding “cute” explanations on annoying cue cards & inter-titles. Huge, talented cast tries hard & Kudrow’s good, but only Gyllenhaal comes out a winner. Who knew Maggie, cast here as a down-on-her-luck torch singer, had such a fabulous voice?
