Movie Haiku:Docudrama about TV newsman Edward R. Murrow’s well-justified 1953 attack on Senator Joseph McCarthy with McCarthy “playing himself,” while a cast full of well-know contemporary faces play CBS principals with still-famous names. Like Clooney’s first directorial effort CONFESSIONS OF A DANGEROUS MIND everything’s constructed to maximize paranoia. Story's classic but film's pretentious.
