Key Performances:

  Forest Whitaker
Movie Haiku:Whitaker burns up the screen as Ugandan dictator Idi Amin. Rich found his portrayal totally compelling; while Jan agrees, she''s more bothered by the melodramatic plot elements. McAvoy plays a well-intentioned young doctor (totally fictional) transformed into a tiny fly in an enormous web when he becomes Amin’s personal physician.
