Movie Haiku:Slice-of-Life dramedy set in LA’s Echo Park barrio. Aging family anchor Uncle Tito (Gonzalez) “adopts” 2 teenage misfits but faces expulsion when trendy Gay Anglos start gentrifying his neighborhood. Beautifully realized ensemble acting but Jan felt that individual characters were too stereotypical & needed more depth.
