Movie Haiku:Fascists consolidate their power right after the Spanish Civil War: half-fantasy/half desperate politics. The joint is seamless but each part is a bit weak. Jan thought the “real” characters were too obvious & preferred the fantasy, but Rich thought Lopez created a superior villain (brave & macho & thoroughly despicable).
