Movie Haiku:LA-based musician Montiel (Downey+LaBeouf) attracted powerhouse cast for this adaptation of his coming-of-age memoir set in the melting pot of working class Queens. Rich found it a gritty, solid piece, but Jan was less convinced & didn’t get why Dad (Palminteri) was so protective of his son’s friend Antonio (Tatum).
