Movie Haiku:Overly-sincere attempt at depicting post-9/11 America by melding the stories of a Vietnam Vet (Diehl) with the story of his long-lost niece (Williams) who’s come to find him in LA after “doing good works” with Palestinians on the West Bank. Haunting tone, even tho the plot mechanics are over-determined.
