Movie Haiku:Visually-perfect adaptation of Stephen Sondheim''s musical masterpiece about a revenge-crazed 19th-Century English barber. Depp is mesmerizing & sings surprising well, & his young foil Toby (Sanders) is terrific too in his very first film role. Kudos to Burton: violent tableau simultaneously real & fake, both necessary & required.
