Movie Haiku:Elegant costume drama set during the religious wars dividing Cahtolics & Protestants after Luther''''s Reformation. Wilson is a soldier finally driven to question the meaning of it all, then finds himself a pawn in a marriage made for political advantage. Without violating period conventions, Tavernier shows the basic plot is still totally relevant to our own era.
