| | Movie Haiku: | CIFF 2010: Jan was absolutely entranced by Taymor's adaptation of Shakespeare's final play, with the casting Mirren as magician "Prospero" (now called Prospera) bringing a whole new depth to the interpersonal dynamics. But Rich thought the character's motivations got lost in the compression of the drama into standard movie length. |
