Movie Haiku:Oscar-nominated epic from the Netherlands charts 20th Century cataclysms through the eyes of twins separated in early childhood. As they grow up, Anna’s German suitors are all Nazis whereas Lotte’s Dutch suitor is a Jew. Despite excellent acting, Marieke van der Pol's screenplay bogs down in its heavy schematic.
