| | Movie Haiku: | Another touching "slice-of-life" from the Dardenne brothers. This time the protagonist is "Thomas" (Doret), a young adolescent who refuses to believe that his father has abandoned him. He draws "Samantha" (De France) into his orbit & she becomes his foster mother, but his troubles infect their relationship. That glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel is slim indeed. |
