Movie Haiku:Childhood trauma leaves Elizabeth Bishop fragile & aloof, but nurtured by Brazilian architect Lota de Macedo Soares—lover, patron, & protector—Bishop becomes one of best-regarded poets in 20th Century literature. Otto & Pires give brilliant performances as Bishop & Soares, & the scenes set in Rio are beyond beautiful. Not yet seen by Rich.
