Movie Haiku:David Grant (Forte) is a thirtysomething at loose ends. So he lets himself be talked into a weird road trip with his remote, alcoholic father Woody (Dern) while his skeptical mom Kate (Squibb) shakes her head in disbelief. Novice screenwriter Bob Nelson tempers typical Payne snark & music by Mark Orton helps meld all the pieces together. A moving trip thru the American heartland.
