Movie Haiku:Servillo stars as Jep Gambardella who wrote one novel in his youth which propelled him into the Roman Beau Monde. Now 65, his dissolute life has become tedious even to him. While certainly easy on the eyes, this is overblown empty stuff, striving for the magic of Fellini but coming up short. After 142 minutes, Jan was ready to flee but Rich found some poignant moments to savor.
