Movie Haiku:Feel Good doc about African American women who served as back-up singers for major music stars (all male) in the 60s & 70s. We have deep ambivalence about all this. While celebrating these women & giving due credit to their names & stories is great, too much hype is not appropriate. They were paid to "sex up" the Front Man & watching all this makes Jan kinda queasy.
