Movie Haiku:Regina Jonas--Born Berlin (1902)/Died Auschwitz (1944)--was the first woman on record to be ordained as a Rabbi, something that only happened in 1935 when all Germans who could started to flee. This fascinating, well-documented story (with letters & sermons voiced by Rachel Weisz) had the makings of a terrific doc, but Groo decided to go wispy & oblique instead. Too bad :-(
