Movie Haiku:Rich was deeply moved by this account of Khmer Rouge atrocities committed in Cambodia from 1975 to 1979. Because so little physical evidence remains, Panh--the only one in his large family to survive--supplements his memories with clay figures arranged in tableau to visualize the essence of what he personally endured. For Jan this worked more intellectually than emotionally.
