Movie Haiku:Supposedly based on the real life of a Mulatto woman (Mabatha-Raw) raised in the English aristocracy around the time of the American Revolution, BELLE is in fact a total fraud built of melodramatic anachronisms & heaving bodices. I pity the wonderful English actors (Watson & Wilkinson + Miranda Richardson & Penelope Wilton) trapped in this nightmare. NEVER TO BE SEEN BY RICH.
