Movie Haiku:"Director Cut" of award-winning 1994 film is based on a historical novel by Alexandre Dumas Pere that has the St. Bartholomew Day Massacre of 1572 as its centerpiece. Margot (Adjani) is married off to Protestant King Henri (Auteuil) thru the machinations of her Catholic mother Catherine de Medici (Lisi). Huge cast confused Rich, but Jan adored acting, costumes, etc.
