Movie Haiku:McCarthy (who co-wrote script with hubby Falcone) creates a slovenly, pathetic character for herself who then pleads so desperately for audience sympathy that Jan turned away. Yes, there are a few laughs amidst the heart-tugs, but mostly an excellent group of actresses is so poor used that seeing them on screen became a guilty pleasure. NEVER TO BE SEEN BY RICH.
