Jan's Rating:

Rich's Rating:

3 out of 5

3.5 out of 5

Key Performances:

  Grigoriy Dobrygin
  Homayoun Ershadi
  Philip Seymour Hoffman
  Rachel McAdams
  Robin Wright
Movie Haiku:Terrific actors like Dobrygin (+ Daniel Brühl & Nina Hoss) are relegated to "local color" roles in a tired post-9/11 espionage tale marketed to us as one more "final" performance by Hoffman. Feh! Rich liked the bleak mis-en-scene with Dobrygin mysteriously emerging from the dank waters of Hamburg, but agrees with Jan there are no surprises in this totally predictable plot.
