Movie Haiku:Superb doc is anchored by archival footage of Nigerian activist Fela Kuti. His story--told in roughly chronological order from 1938 to 1997--is an archetypal African story: the hero who gives hope to people crushed by oppression & corruption. The frame is a new Broadway production proving that this message--and this music--survive even tho the man himself is gone.
