Movie Haiku:Setting out to adapt a playful Thomas Pynchon Private Eye Noir about LA in the late 60s, Anderson assembles a quirky/zany cast & everything looks terrific. But then it morfs from self-indulgent to tiresome to tedious. Sure the list of guest stars makes a good trailer, but most of us would gladly trade some of these bit parts for a genuinely interesting narrative.
