| Movie Haiku: | Dark & disturbing adaptation of Hubert Selby Jr's novel. The story is familiar (the downward spiral of drug abuse) but the prsentation is stunning. The film fully succeeds in capturing "subjective time" -- the rush of the fix, and the endless duration of each minute when you're counting the minutes until your next fix. |
