Movie Haiku:Ingrid Bergman released two films in 1942. Although remembered now for CASABLANCA, she actually received her Oscar nomination for the role of Maria in this film. Hemingway reportedly conceived the character of Robert Jordan with Gary Cooper in mind. Coop rewards him with the definitive portrait of an American idealist.
