Key Performances:

  Danny DeVito

Movie Haiku:Cons conning cons in Mamet-speak. Taut, tense & wholly engrossing, with plenty of twists & turns. Hackman is the master thief, Pidgeon is his wife, Lindo is his right-hand man, & DeVito is his fence. Rockwell is “lame,” & that’s an understatement. Hackman, though, is a winner in every way.
