Movie Haiku:Coburn won an Oscar as Best Supporting Actor for his terrifying portrayal of an abusive father, still ferocious & violent even as an old man. Nolte & Dafoe are the two sons who take opposite paths to equally dead ends. Grim & depressing, but haunting none the less.
