Movie Haiku:Indians attack, killing everyone on the homestead except two young girls they spirit away. Their uncle Ethan will not rest until he finds them. Years pass. The search continues. Wayne is magnificent as the obsessed, embittered loner, but the scenes representing “civilization” look dated to the modern eye. Near masterpiece.
