Movie Haiku:Those of us lucky enough to see the ’01 exhibit “Van Gogh & Gaughin: Studio of the South” were astonished to discover just how accurate this film really is. Minnelli filmed a treasure trove of actual paintings; Douglas & Quinn clearly drew both energy & inspiration from working in proximity.
