Movie Haiku:Split decision: Jan thinks this is a tremendously powerful story, brilliantly acted, with a Personal Best performance by Crouse; Rich respects its intentions, but doesn’t think the film “works.” E.L. Doctorow adapted his own novel, loosely based on the Rosenberg executions in the ‘50s. Paul Robson’s voice dominates the soundtrack.
