Movie Haiku:Based on the memoir of Nobel Prize nominated author Isak Dinessen. A pampered Danish woman relocates to Kenya in 1913 where she loses everything (marriage, business, health) while gaining true depth of life experience. The racism depicted in the film is deliberate, reflecting all the social constraints she abhorred.
