| Movie Haiku: | Harsh, stoic Western (circa 1885) depicting the courage & resourcefulness of pioneers living on the edge of civilization. Blanchett plays a wary widow raising 2 young daughters on an isolated homestead. Jones is the father who deserted her years earlier, but now seeks reconciliation. Their relationship had us both hooked.
