Movie Haiku:Group of proper English matrons, all middle-aged, embark on a novel fund-raising scheme that succeeds beyond all expectations. The first half’s set-up & mostly fluffy fun, but the ending’s surprisingly rich & bittersweet. Kudos to the original “Girls” who lived to tell, & big BRAVAs for stars Mirren & Walters.
