Jan's Rating:

Rich's Rating:

3 out of 5

4 out of 5

Key Performances:

  Shohreh Aghdashloo
  Jonathan Ahdout
  Jennifer Connelly
  Ron Eldard
  Ben Kingsley
Movie Haiku:Cautionary tale about conflicting agendas in contemporary America. SPLIT DECISION: We agree about Kingsley’s character (& superlative performance). We disagree about Connelly. Rich says: depressed/desperate. Jan says: spoiled/malevolent. Rich finds their tragedies balanced. Jan’s empathy is for the immigrant family, finding them the victims in this tug-of-war over “the house.”
