| Movie Haiku: | Six American women become constant companions while waiting at the same hotel in an unnamed Latin American country hoping to adopt babies. Encased in private concerns they barely see the poverty that surrounds them, although they’re acutely aware of bureaucratic predators. More like a well-crafted novella than a typical Sayles epic. |
