Movie Haiku:High-class woman's weepie set in the glamorous world of NYC's American Ballet Theatre. One woman (Bancroft) becomes a prima ballerina while her friend (MacLaine) marries, has kids & runs a ballet school. Years later, they question their all-or-nothing choices. A 1978 shut-out with 11 Oscar-noms. Melodramatic, dated, but still fun.
